I’m a visiting tutor at Evelina Hospital School. I work some of the time in the hospital classroom, where patients and siblings of patients from early years to sixth form come to ensure they don’t miss out on their education while they’re staying in hospital. At other times, I teach at children’s bedsides – when they’re on dialysis, or when they don’t feel well enough to come to the classroom.
We’ve made zines, had performances, and I’ve even made it onto the wards via tablet during the pandemic.
We made a series of zines, which eventually became a book celebrating the school’s 70th birthday – Imagining All The Way.
